Growing up in Middletown, New Jersey, Mike always knew he wanted to be a chef. His parents, in attempt to scare him out of restaurants, got him his first kitchen job at age 15. He went on to attend the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. Before joining Hai, Mike was Chef de Cusine at laV, and spent time as the chef de partie at Restaurant Nicholas in New Jersey and at The Little Nell Hotel in Aspen, Colorado. Mike enjoys reading, hiking, climbing, and, of course, trying new restaurants.
