John “JB” Gross

Executive Sous Chef, Uchiko

John—or JB, as he’s known at Uchi Houston—grew up in Buda, Texas, and attended Le Cordon Bleu in Austin, Texas. Upon graduating, he worked at the Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs and then Parkside in Austin before joining the Hai Hospitality team in Houston. JB loves spending time outdoors camping camping and fishing with his girlfriend and dog. His favorite restaurant in Houston in Banana Leaf (1 not 2) and his top spot in the world is La Esquina corner deli in New York City.
