Chris Melton was born and raised in Dallas. He moved to Austin in 2000 to attend St. Edward’s University and never looked back. Before joining the Hai Hospitality team, Chris worked at Vino Vino and Brick Oven. He became a server assistant at Uchiko in 2010. Since then he has worked as a server, a bartender, and a beverage trainer. In December 2014, Chris became the beverage director for all Hai Hospitality restaurants. Favorite restaurants in Austin: Qui, Laundrette, and Clark’s. Favorite spot in the world: Gramercy Tavern in New York City.
